Protocol ID

02-025

Protocol Description

The goal of the Pediatric IBD Registry is to accumulate data from a large number of children with IBD, over an indefinite period of time to determine how IBD evolves in children, and how specific treatments affect the progression of illness. The Registry's specific aims are:
1. To understand the natural history of both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis in pediatric patients
2. To document the long-term impact of a variety of treatments currently employed in the management of pediatric patients with IBD
3. To understand clinical, economic and social outcomes of treatment in real-world medical practice settings
4. To allow physicians to gain a better understanding of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and available treatments in the pediatric population
