The purpose of this study is to better understand the causes of leukemia and myelodysplasia (a disease with abnormal bone marrow function), and to develop improved methods for the diagnosis and treatment of those disease. Researchers in this study will collect a small portion of blood, bone marrow, and a swab from the inside of the mouth. This material will be used only for the study of leukemia or myelodysplasia.
