Pediatric Tumors - Tissue Banking Study

COG# ABTR01B1: A Children's Onclology Group Protocol for Collecting and Banking Pediatric Research Specimens Including Rare Pediatric Tumors

Protocol ID

03.10.157T

Protocol Description

Medical scientists want to find better ways to detect tumors early and to find ways to prevent the occurrence of tumors. To learn more about the characteristics of childhood tumors, they need to study samples of tumor tissues and molecules in the blood that may be related to tumors, especially malignant (cancerous) tumors. With patients' permission, this study will collect unused tissue from diagnostic procedures or surgeries and extra blood and/or bone marrow samples taken during routine diagnostic tests for use in future research.
