NSABP B-39/RTOG 0413: A Randomized Phase III Study of Conventional Whole Breast Irradiation (WBI) Versus Partial Breast Irradiation (PBI) for Women with Stage 0, I, or II Breast Cancer

Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to see if partial breast irradiation (PBI) is as good as or better than whole breast irradiation (WBI), the standard treatment after a lumpectomy,  in keeping cancer from coming back in the breast.

Eligibility Criteria

Patients with breast cancer who have had a lumpectomy to remove the cancer.
