Protocol Description

The purpose of this project is to evaluate the best treatment for cancer patients that have a pulmonary embolism (PE) or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Anticoagulation and/or inferior vena cava filters are used in cancer patients for the treatment of a DVT and/or PE as standard of care. In this study we will compare anticoagulation with and without a vena cava filter.
