Protocol Description
The Type 1 Diabetes Genetics Consortium (T1DGC) is a group of researchers from around the world who are studying type 1 diabetes, sometimes called juvenile onset diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a health problem that affects many people. The researchers want to find the genes that:
- May show a person’s risk of getting type 1 diabetes, or
- Might keep someone from getting type 1 diabetes.

Patients with type 1 diabetes and their relatives
