Protocol Description
Diarrhea is a common and concerning problem for many people with HIV. Besides being uncomfortable, it can have negative effects on a patient's lifestyle, ability to work and response to therapy. Current medications used to treat diarrhea may not be effective and may have side effects.
This study involves taking an experimental drug called Crofelemer, for the possible treatment of HIV-associated diarrhea. The purpose of this study is to test the efficacy and safety of crofelemer in treating subjects with HIV-associated diarrhea.
