Scleroderma - PHAROS Study

The Natural History and Outcome of Scleroderma Patients at High Risk or with Early Pulmonary Hypertension (PHAROS: Pulmonary Hypertension Assessment and Recognition of Outcomes in Scleroderma)

Protocol ID

07-02-214

Protocol Description

The general plan of this research is to develop a registry and observational study of subjects with scleroderma, who are at high risk for pulmonary hypertension (PHT) or who have the recent diagnosis of PHT. Investigators will follow the outcomes and treatment of these patients. This study will give investigators a better understanding of who is likely to develop PHT and their responses to different drugs. Study investigators hope this study will identify those subjects at highest risk for PHT so that a future study could be done to see if medication could prevent the severe form of PHT.
