Weight Perception and Attitude Toward Obesity in Overweight and Obese African American, Afro-Caribbean, Latino and Caucasian Adolescents.

Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to determine if there are cultural differences in attitudes and perceptions regarding obesity, weight loss, and body image among adolescent females and to identify cultural perception regarding body weight and body image. We will evaluate how these perceptions affect weight loss in the obese adolescents.

Eligibility Criteria

Adolescent females.
