Nosocomial Viral Infections - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Study
A Prospective Study of Nosocomial Viral Respiratory Infectious In Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Patients
Protocol ID
07.10.006
Protocol Description
Nosocomial infections are infections that patients can get while in the hospital. A nosocomial infection could affect how long a patient stays in the hospital and what other treatments or care a patient may need.
The purpose of this study is to determine what respiratory viral infections one could get after being admitted to a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and how often this can happen. The information gathered from this study could help us find better ways to control infection.
