Syosset Hospital at the Forefront in Patient Satisfaction

Staff at Syosset Hospital hold up four fingers to signify their fourth consecutive award from J.D. Power and Associates’ Distinguished Hospital ProgramSM for Inpatient Service Excellence. For the second consecutive year, the hospital also received the J.D. Power award for Emergency Service Excellence. The hospital scored particularly high in the categories of speed and efficiency, information and communication, and comfort. Syosset’s accomplishment is a record for New York State. As a reward for their superior performance, North Shore-LIJ Health System President and CEO Michael Dowling and Chief Operating Officer Mark Solazzo (shown in the front row, left-center, in dark suits) announced bonuses for all of the hospital’s approximately 600 employees, including $400 for full-timers.
