Southside Hospital Names Catherine Mary Hottendorf Assistant Executive Director

Southside Hospital has named Catherine Mary Hottendorf, RN, its assistant executive director, responsible for administration of nursing and patient services. Ms. Hottendorf was previously the associate director for patient care services at Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream. Both Franklin and Southside Hospitals are members of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.

“Catherine brings over 30 years of experience to her new position,” said Winnie Mack, RN, Southside Hospital’s executive director. “We’re confident that her experience, compassion and commitment to leadership will translate into superior nursing care for Southside’s patients.”

As associate executive director for patient care services at Franklin Hospital, Ms. Hottendorf was responsible for the organization and administration of nursing, respiratory and physical therapy. Previously, she has held executive positions as finance director for peri-operative services at Continuum Health System and deputy executive director for Generations and Northern Manhattan Network. She worked at Nassau University Medical Center and A. Holly Patterson Geriatric Center for more than 20 years with roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her position as assistant executive director.

Ms. Hottendorf is an assistant clinical professor at the Adelphi University School of Nursing in Garden City, NY. She received her B.S.N. and an M.S. in Community Health from Long Island University and earned her M.B.A. in management from Adelphi University.
