North Shore-LIJ Names John Bosco as CIO

The North Shore-LIJ Health System today announced the appointment of John Bosco as chief information officer, overseeing all aspects of information technology (IT) and telecommunications for the $4.5 billion healthcare network.

Mr. Bosco, a resident of Yorktown Heights, NY, will be responsible for aligning North Shore-LIJ’s technology deployment and business strategies, overseeing technology purchases and implementations, and providing leadership to the health system’s IT group.

He joined North Shore-LIJ in 2004 as vice president and chief technology officer, responsible for developing the strategic plan for technology throughout the health system and overseeing the daily operations of the IT department. He has more than 25 years experience in IT management, primarily in the healthcare industry. Before coming to North Shore-LIJ, he served as a senior IT executive with Capgemini Ernst & Young. Prior to that, he was associate vice president of IT for Continuum Health Partners, a nonprofit health system in New York City.
