The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System General Surgery Residency Program is accredited by the Surgery Residency Review Committee of the ACGME to train and graduate eight categorical residents each year. Our program provides clinical and operative expertise in all areas of surgery including surgical subspecialties. esidents are exposed to progressively increasing levels of supervised clinical and operative responsibility thus providing the ideal environment for the development of independent surgeons.
