North Shore-Long Island Jewish Behavioral Health Services strive to address the diverse mental health needs of the community by providing a continuum of high-quality emergency, inpatient and outpatient services for people of all ages; education and training in psychiatry and its related disciplines; and expanding knowledge in the behavioral sciences through clinical research. Working collaboratively across the health system, we aim to provide the highest quality psychiatric and addictive disorders treatment.

                 

Addiction Treatment Services 
The addiction treatment services of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System offer a wide range of treatment options — from hospital-based detoxification and rehabilitation programs to community-based outpatient clinics — at locations across Staten Island, Queens and Long Island.

The Whats and Whys of Anxiety Disorders
Because it puts you on your guard and prepares you for what is to come, a little anxiety can be a good thing. However, when normal anxiety seems to spin out of control, disrupting your daily life, you could be suffering from an anxiety disorder.
