Cardiac Care at Southside
Southside's around-the-clock cardiac emergency team stops heart attacks in progress through interventional angioplasty to open blocked heart arteries and restore the heart's lifesaving blood supply. Our program is similar to those found in much larger academic hospitals and provides a level of service rarely found in a community hospital. The team evaluates patients and those who need angioplasty are brought to a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory within 40 minutes of entering the Emergency Department.
