Cardiothoracic Radiology

The Division of Cardiothoracic Radiology specializes in advanced imaging and diagnosis of diseases of the thorax, including the lungs, heart and esophagus. Our team of board-certified physicians has subspecialty training in Cardiac and Thoracic Radiology. We favor an integrated approach to diagnosis which includes clinical conferences with the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as well as the Department of Pathology. We work closely with the Department of Cardiology and the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

In addition to training the residents at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Hospital, we participate in the education of medical students from New York University School of Medicine, Einstein School of Medicine and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

We offer the full range of thoracic diagnostic procedures including:

  • CT Pulmonary Angiography
  • High Resolution CT for imaging of Interstitial Lung Disease
  • Virtual Bronchoscopy
  • CT Guided Fine Needle Aspiration and Core Needle Biopsy of the Lung, Mediastinum and Soft Tissues of the Thorax
