| Central Intake is the psychiatric intake and referral service for The Zucker Hillside Hospital and The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health Care System. Information regarding psychiatric treatment and services for adolescents, adults and geriatrics is available. Central Intake is part of the Hillside Evaluation Center and provides information to callers regarding the admission process. Social workers provide assessments to direct callers to the most appropriate service provided by the Zucker Hillside Hospital and hospitals in the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Callers are given appointments for outpatient services or referred directly to specific programs which would meet their needs. Providers may also call Central Intake for appointments for their patients who require a higher level of care or are being discharged from psychiatric inpatient units. |

Central Intake is open from Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
