Chantal Weinhold

Executive Director, LIJ Medical Center

Ms. Weinhold directs the operations of LIJ Medical Center.  Previously, she was executive director of Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, a worldwide destination for the treatment of childhood illness and disease. In addition, Ms. Weinhold has also served as executive director of The Zucker Hillside Hospital, the health system's psychiatric hospital. Prior to that, she was corporate compliance officer, responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and monitoring of the corporate compliance program as well as oversight of compliance-related activities across North Shore-LIJ’s hospitals, facilities and business entities.

Ms. Weinhold began her career as a research technician in the department of psychology, SUNY at Stony Book. She came to Hillside Hospital in 1980 as research coordinator, and later held a number of positions at LIJ Medical Center, Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York and North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) including assistant  grants manager, department of pediatrics administrator, associate director for business program management and director of ambulatory patient care services at NSUH. In addition, she was assistant vice president, ambulatory care services, Phillips Ambulatory Care Center, Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY.

Ms. Weinhold is a member of the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions.

Ms. Weinhold received a bachelor’s degree from Chatham College, Pittsburgh, PA, as well as a master’s degree in health services administration and a certificate in quantitative studies from the New School for Social Research, New York, NY.
