Chefs Cook for Kids Event Raises Over $100,000
Woodbury, New York—More than 300 food and drink aficionados recently packed the Delano Mansion at the Woodlands in Woodbury for Chefs Cook for Kids, an epicurean event that raised over $100,000 to support the Child Life & Education Services Program at Schneider Children’s Hospital (SCH), a member of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
Chefs and representatives from over 20 local restaurants and vineyards provided generous samples of their wares, and a number of exciting prizes were offered through a live auction and raffles.
The Child Life & Education Services Program at Schneider Children’s Hospital is designed to alleviate the trauma experienced by children who are hospitalized. SCH, located in New Hyde Park, New York, and recently ranked for the second year in a row among the best children’s hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, is committed to the comprehensive care of children, from infants to young adults.
