Services Provided
We provide comprehensive laboratory services for patients in the System hospitals, from private physician offices, group practices, dialysis centers, and nursing homes. The Laboratory is approved by the State of New York Department of Health and accredited by The College of American Pathologists to perform testing in Clinical Chemistry, Endocrinology, Blood Lead Toxicology, Therapeutic Substance Monitoring, Comprehensive Hematology, Diagnostic Immunology, Urinalysis, Urine Pregnancy, Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Parasitology, Mycology, Virology (Direct Detection), Oncology (Sera and Soluble Tumor Markers), Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Molecular Diagnostics.
The laboratory facility began operation in early 1998 in a new facility designed to operate with state-of-the-art, robotic instrumentation and methods. The design of the facility has attracted visitors from around the world. We are proud of our facility and welcome visitors, by appointment. In addition to the highly automated routine testing capabilities, the laboratory provides an extensive menu of specialized testing. We have made a major commitment to meeting the needs of our clients, including courier services, billing, home care, phlebotomy services, specimen collection stations, client service representatives and sales and field service representatives.
In addition to a commitment to provide a high quality, timely laboratory testing for both hospital and outreach patients, the laboratory has a equally strong commitment to fair ethical business practices and compliance with all laws and regulations affecting laboratory practices.
