Dennis Connors

Mr. Connors is responsible for overseeing the implementation of service excellence initiatives throughout the health system. In addition, he is the administrative leader of Glen Cove Hospital, a position he has held since 2004. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration and financial management.
Mr. Connors began his career at Glen Cove, serving as assistant administrator from 1985 to 1990. From 1990 to 1992, he served as assistant administrator at North Shore University Hospital (NSUH).
After that, he was executive director of the Stern Family Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation (CECR), the 256-bed nursing care facility on the NSUH campus. Under his direction, the CECR had deficiency-free inspections for five consecutive years from the New York State Department of Health – a rare distinction in the field – and received consistently high scores from The Joint Commission.
Mr. Connors received master’s degrees in business administration and public health from Tulane University, New Orleans.
