Division of Dermatology

The mission of the Division of Dermatology is to provide a full range of excellent dermatological services for all ages in a private practice and hospital inpatient and outpatient settings to the surrounding Long Island and Queens communities through the expertise of both full-time and voluntary faculty. A strong foundation of dermatology will be provided to young physicians through the teaching of residents in various disciplines who work at both North Shore University in Manhasset and Long Island Jewish Hospital.

Services

  • General dermatology, including atopic dermatitis, warts, psoriasis, rashes, etc.
  • Surgical dermatology, including skin cancer surgery, mole removal, scar revision, keloid removal, earlobe repairs, etc.
  • Cosmetic dermatology, including laser surgery, Botox, collagen, chemical peels, sclerotherapy
    • Laser surgery of port wine stains, red spots, brown spots, telangiectasias and tattoos
    • Cosmetic sclerotherapy of leg spider veins
    • Botox of facial and neck wrinkles and palmar and axillary sweating

In-Hospital Clinics
For uninsured, Medicaid- and Medicaid HMO-insured pediatric and adult patients.

Inpatients
Inpatient consult services are available at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, Long Island Jewish Hospital and the Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation.
