Diagnosing Vascular Diseases
The Institute's advanced diagnostic equipment helps its physicians pinpoint problems and plan treatment. These diagnostic tools include:
- Color Duplex Ultrasound visualizes clots and abnormalities in blood vessels
- CT scans create precise images for diagnosis.
- Magnetic Resonance Angiography, a non-invasive MRI technique, creates very detailed images of blood vessels
- Angiography, an x-ray examination of blood vessels, lets doctors view blood vessels after an injection of a dye that outlines them.
