Breast Cancer (SOFT) Study
NSABP DMP-1: A Study to Evaluate Different Decision-Making Approaches Used by Women Known to be at Increased Risk for Breast Cancer
Protocol ID
11-276A
Protocol Description
Women who are at increased risk for breast cancer may want to consider options for reducing their risk of breast cancer. An option for some women is taking the prescription drugs tamoxifen (Nolvadex®) or raloxifene (Evista®). The main purpose of this study is to find out what affects a woman’s decision about how to deal with her breast cancer risk. A second goal of this study is to find out what factors hinder women from taking chemoprevention for breast cancer.
