Eating Disorders Center at The Zucker Hillside Hospital

Comprehensive psychiatric, medical and nutritional care for children, adolescents and young adults with eating disorders. Inpatient, partial (day) hospital and outpatient care is provided exclusively for the younger population (ages 6-23). All care is individually tailored to the child or adolescent depending on severity of illness.

Treatment modalities include: outpatient individual, family and group therapies; outpatient medical management, outpatient nutritional counseling; intensive evening outpatient program; partial hospitalizations and inpatient treatment.

An interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, adolescent medical specialists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, child life professionals, nutritionists and physical therapists provide the care. Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Eating Disorder, NOS are treated. An affiliated program treats overweight children and adolescents.

 

Hours:
       Inpatient: 24 hours
       Partial: Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
       Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5:30pm - 8:30pm
       Outpatient: Monday through Thursday, 8:00am - 7:00pm
                         Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
