Southside allows one to two family members at bedside whenever it is medically possible. Public telephones and vending machines are in the emergency waiting room. Southside also has two other food services for visitors:

The Eatery
Located on the main floor, The Eatery is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also offers self-service snacks. The menu includes hearty breakfasts, soups and sandwiches, and hot and cold dishes.
Breakfast: 6:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Self-service: 2-4 p.m.

Quarter Café
A vending area adjacent to The Eatery, the Quarter Café is open all day and night except for one hour between 8-9 p.m.

Patient Confidentiality
Federal law requires the staff to respect the confidentiality of every patient. For that reason, patient information cannot be discussed without the patient's consent. While the staff wants to meet the needs of patients and their families and friends, we are bound by law to respect patient confidentiality and will not discuss patient information over the phone.
