Fluoroscopy at Southside

Fluoroscopy creates images of the body in motion, particularly the lungs, heart and digestive tract. In angiography, it helps doctors guide their instruments and place stents, the small mesh tubes that help keep blood vessels and ducts open. Fluoroscopy also is used in studies of the stomach, bowel, and esophagus; and in studies of women's reproductive organs.

At Southside, state-of-the-art digital fluoroscopy produces images quickly, limiting x-ray exposure to both patients and staff.
