The Department of Anesthesiology at Forest Hills Hospital consists of many highly trained physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists, many of whom are fellowship-trained and board-certified in various subspecialties in anesthesia. The anesthesia team provides services in the main operating room and the obstetrical and ambulatory suites.

The team of anesthesiologists at Forest Hills Hospital is part of the same group that provides anesthesia services to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Patients requiring services at Forest Hills Hospital can be assured that their individual physical and emotional needs will be paramount in the determination of the proper course of anesthesia management and that their past medical histories will be carefully reviewed prior to surgery. An anesthesiologist will discuss with each patient what he or she can expect before, during and after surgery and will be available to answer any questions the patient may have. For our obstetrical patients, anesthesiologists provide round-the-clock coverage in state-of-the-art suites. All maternity patients are advised to meet with an anesthesiologist to determine the best method of care for labor and delivery.
