Gastroenterology at Forest Hills
The Department of Gastroenterology at Forest Hills Hospital utilizes many testing procedures, including upper endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonscopy, endoscopic photography and endoscopic cytology and treatments such as endoscopic biopsy, electrocoagulation, endoscopic injection, sclerotherapy, removal of foreign bodies, polypectomy, and placement and removal of endoscopic stents. Our department remains on the cutting edge of medicine and employs the following techniques: percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, jejunumostomy placement and removal, esophageal dilation and ERCP.
