Cancer/Oncology at Franklin
The Oncology Services Program at Franklin Hospital offers diagnostic, therapeutic and palliative treatment to adult patients. A dedicated 36-bed oncology unit is staffed by nurses specially trained in chemotherapy administration.
Hospice Care Network at Franklin is Nassau County's first hospital-based hospice and palliative Care Center, featuring a specialized 12-bed unit. Private rooms, home-like decor and parlors for family respite create a peaceful, dignified environment.
Franklin's Pain Management Center offers the latest techniques and medical options to diagnose and treat pain. The center offers a comprehensive pain management program for oncology patients with acute and chronic pain.

The Oncology Services Program of Franklin Hospital encompasses the departments of Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology Consultation, Pain Management and Cancer Registry.
Programs and Services
Franklin's cancer program is approved by the Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Cancer Program.
Free community health education and support services are available, including skin cancer and prostate cancer screenings, an annual health fair and cancer support groups. In addition, working collaboratively with the American Cancer Society, the hospital offers the Look Good-Feel Better Program and the Reach for Recovery Program. Under the auspices of the Hospice Care Network at Franklin, families are offered bereavement support services for up to 13 months.
