For Patients
While you are a patient at Franklin Hospital, coordinated teams of health professionals care for you. You can be assured that every member of our staff is fully licensed or accredited, highly qualified and has the utmost concern for your well-being.
Admitting/Patient Access Services
In the Admitting/Patient Access Services Office, you will be asked to supply your insurance and other information to complete the admission process. You will also be asked to sign standard consent forms for admission. An Admitting/Patient Access Representative will discuss the Health Care Proxy with you. Depending on your physician's orders, you may have blood work or a chest X-ray when you are admitted.
A wristband for identification will be affixed at the time of admission. Bands are also issued for allergic conditions. Your wristband is your positive identification and will be referenced by staff during your stay to ensure your safety. Please wear it during your entire stay.
An admitting/patient access representative, volunteer or transport aide will take you from the Admitting/Patient Access Services Office to your room. The paperwork you completed in the service office will go along with you and will serve as the beginning of your medical chart, therefore, it is extremely important that you provide accurate personal information. If you have any questions about the admitting/patient access procedure, or the hospital, feel free to discuss them with your Patient Services/Patient Representatives.
