Nephrology at Franklin
The Division of Nephrology at Franklin Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient services for prompt evaluation and treatment of all kidney-related illnesses, especially glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, swelling, hypertension, renovascular problems and difficulty voiding. In addition, the division cares for people with various stages of kidney failure, including patients requiring dialysis or transplantation.
Our physicians are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Nephrology and employ the most up-to-date techniques in caring for our patients. Other departments, including urology, pathology and radiology, as well as the full complement of support services help ensure the best outcome of diagnostic and treatment efforts for patients of the division. State-of-the-art diagnostic modalities such as CTT, MRI/MRA, ultrasound and laboratory services are employed to allow for proper and prompt diagnosis. In-hospital dialysis is carried out using the most modern equipment and expertise. Emergency care and evaluation for patients is available in the Emergency Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
