Visiting Hours/Policies

We understand that you may be anxious to visit family and loved ones in the hospital. We will accommodate visitors to the best of our ability but urge you to keep in mind that patients may need a great deal of rest to help recuperate. We also ask that you respect the needs and wishes of other patients. Please keep your voices down and follow the hospital’s visiting policies.

Please note that visiting hours are subject to change. Visitors may verify visiting hours with the patient’s unit.

Free valet parking is offered to patients and visitors Monday through Friday at the main entrance of the hospital.

Visitor Information & Hours

Medical Records

The Medical Records Department is located on the ground floor of the main building. It is the obligation of the hospital to protect the confidentiality of the patient’s medical record. Any information contained in the medical record is confidential and protected by federal and state law. Therefore, patient information may only be released upon receipt of appropriate patient authorization, valid subpoena or court order.

Patients will be furnished with a copy of their record for a fee, upon receipt of a notarized, written request or a completed Authorization for Release of Protected Health Information Form.

Parents of minors (under 18 years of age), next of kin or legally appointed guardian, may obtain a copy of a minors record, upon receipt of a notarized, written request or a completed Authorization for Release of Protected Health Information Form. When a minor is treated for sexually transmitted disease, birth control treatment, drug/alcohol abuse treatment, HIV or mental illness, the records can only be released upon the minor’s authorization.

A qualified person or personal representative upon receipt of a notarized, written request or a completed Authorization for Release of Protected Health Information Form and letter of testamentary or a letter of administration from Surrogates Court, may obtain the records of a deceased patient. Questions regarding the release of deceased patient records in the absence of these documents should be referred to the Medical Records Department Correspondence Unit.

All inquiries regarding requests for access, copies or Release of Protected Health Information should be directed to the Medical Records Department, Correspondence Unit, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm excluding hospital holidays.

Language Translation Services

Cryacom Translation Phones are available at designated locations throughout the hospital. The Cyracom service provides access to greater than 140 languages and dialects. Cyracom phones have the ability to accommodate conversation between four persons at a time.
