MANHASSET, NY – On a Wednesday night in July, over 100 patients at the Stern Family Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation (CECR) were surprised with bright orange flowering plants in large yellow “smiley face” mugs, as part of Teleflora’s 11th annual Make Someone Smile Week. Using donated flowers and plants, Telefora gives more than 40,000 Be Happy Mugs in 200 cities nationwide during the week-long special event. Town and Country Florist of Manhasset, a local Teleflora florist, delivered cheerful bouquets and balloons to patients at the CECR, making it a night to remember for both patients and staff alike.
