Family Medicine Center at Glen Cove
The Family Medicine Center provides medical care for men, women and children. Its hospital location has its own separate reception area, examination rooms, laboratory, and doctors' offices.
Medical services are provided by resident physicians in family medicine. These doctors are supervised and guided by members of Glen Cove Hospital's attending staff.
Patients can be assured of seeing the same physician each time they visit the Center. If their primary physician is unavailable, they will be treated by another doctor, and their physician will be updated on any new medical information.
Care is provided to people of all ages. This includes newborns, infants, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. When a specialist's care is required, patients will be assisted in obtaining the appropriate medical help.
Spanish-speaking staff members are available. All services are provided in strict confidentiality.

Fees
The Family Medicine Center operates on a fee-for-service basis. The general policy is payment in full at the time service is rendered. Patients who are covered by Medicare or Medicaid are billed only for those amounts not covered by the insurance.
Private insurance forms such as Blue Cross and Travelers will be completed by the cashier at the center at the time of payment. A social worker is available to help with financial arrangements if payment presents a problem. Fees are determined on a sliding scale basis.
In cases where fees impose a financial burden on the family, the Center will work with patients to establish a suitable payment schedule. No patient with medical needs will be denied care because of a lack of funds.
