Glen Cove Hospital Raffle Raises over $8,000 for Heart Disease Research

GLEN COVE, NY -- To increase community awareness about heart disease and stroke prevention, Glen Cove Hospital recently organized a festive raffle in its lobby to raise funds to benefit the American Heart Association’s (AHA) cardiovascular research programs. With dozens of local merchants and individuals donating prizes to the hospital’s annual “Chinese Auction,” the event raised $8,175. Rosemary D’Antonio (left), director of the hospital’s cardiac services and organizer of the raffle, with Doreen Seeley of the Radiology Department, who won an entertaining gift basket and was one of the event’s volunteers.
