Directions

Located only 8 minutes north of Northern Boulevard, Glen Cove Hospital is readily accessible by car. In addition, the hospital is accessible by bus and train. The Glen Cove station of the Long Island Railroad is a 10-minute walk from the hospital.

Community House intake staff are available during these hours:

Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

BY CAR
Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) to exit 39-N (Glen Cove Road North). It is approximately 6 miles from the highway to the hospital. Travel north on Glen Cove Road to fork. Stay left at the fork and continue on Glen Cove Rd. until the road ends at the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department. Turn right onto Brewster St. (the name changes to Forest Avenue). Go 7 traffic lights to Walnut Rd. and turn right. Go one block to St. Andrew’s Lane and turn right. Continue on St. Andrew’s Lane past the Main Entrance and the Emergency Entrance on your left. Then enter the last parking area marked by a white, blue and orange sign that says “Community House Annex.” Enter the Annex parking lot and at the end of the lot you can park in the reserved spaces marked “Parking for Annex Patients Visitors Only.” After parking your car, enter the Annex entrance and speak with the receptionist.

From the south, take the Meadowbrook Parkway North to the Northern State Parkway West and go to the first exit, Glen Cove Road North. Turn left at the traffic light and follow directions above.

BY BUS
Take N-27 from Hempstead or Roosevelt Field to the end of the line in Glen Cove. Then take the Glen Cove bus to the hospital (about a five-minute ride). When you get off at the hospital entrance, walk into the main lobby to the reception desk. Ask the volunteer on duty to please call Ext. 7852 and announce you have an appointment at Community House. A representative from the program will meet you in the lobby and escort you to the program.

BY TRAIN
Take the Oyster Bay line of the LIRR to Glen Cove. The hospital is a 10-minute walk north up St. Andrew's Lane. When you get off at the hospital entrance, walk into the main lobby to the reception desk. Ask the volunteer on duty to please call Ext. 7852 and announce you have an appointment at Community House. A representative from the program will meet you in the lobby and escort you to the program.
