Headache Center
The Headache Center, led by Dr. Noah Rosen, specializes in the simultaneous handling of neurologic and psychiatric illness in headaches and the treatment of intractable migraines. Many patients who suffer from severe headache disorders require a higher level of care that may only be available in a specialized outpatient or inpatient program.
Outpatient treatment includes in-depth analysis of the headache problem, education about headache disorders, the identification of headache triggers and the development of a plan of care for management of the headache problem. In addition, there is an inpatient program that offers a safe and comfortable environment in which to provide treatment such as medication detoxification and intravenous medication to help break severe headache cycles. The inpatient setting can also facilitate complex treatment regimens, provide monitoring for individuals with co-existing medical problems and afford an opportunity to initiate an effective treatment regimen.
The Headache Center also provides botulinum injection for the treatment of dystonia (movement disorder), blepharospasm (tic or twitching of eyelid) and headaches, as well as occipital nerve block injections, trigger point injections, frontal nerve block injections and trochlear injections for the management of associated conditions.
