The Center primarily serves patients 65 years of age and over, but also accommodates younger patients with diagnoses/problems that are consonant with older adulthood, e.g., presenile dementia.

The Hillside Geriatric Center also services the caregivers and family members of these patients who may themselves be experiencing psychiatric disturbances. Patients seen at The Center include those with psychiatric disorders such as major depression or anxiety diagnoses; adjustment reactions to life stressors; memory disorders and dementing conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or vascular dementia; and psychosocial and/or emotional disturbances associated with medical illnesses. The Center also serves turmoil because of a relative's psychiatric neuropsychiatric or medical illness. Special tracks or sub-programs include: Memory Disorder, Depression, Psychotherapy, Homebound Elderly, and Neuropsychology.
