| The Hillside Evaluation Center functions as the psychiatric emergency room for Long Island Jewish Medical Center during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All “walk-ins” must arrive by 5 p.m. Only expected inpatient admissions may come after 5 for evaluations as the Center closes at 9 p.m. Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations are provided to determine the appropriate level of care. Patients may be admitted to The Zucker Hillside Hospital or referred to outpatient services when indicated. The Hillside Evaluation Center is a “walk-in” clinic setting for the comprehensive psychiatric assessments. Adult and Geriatric patients. |
Hours:
The Evaluation Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted until 5 p.m. Expected inpatient admissions may arrive after 5.
For Appointments:
No appointments needed. The Evaluation Center is an emergency service for psychiatric assessments. Patients who want to make appointments for outpatient services should call Central Intake at 718-470-8100.
