How to Apply
Please be advised that for applicants starting in July 2007, our program is no longer accepting paper applications. You are required to apply through ERAS to be considered. All paper applications will be returned without review. As the ERAS system is being used for the first time, the following Web site is an introduction for those who are unfamiliar with ERAS: myeras@AAMC.org or you may also contact the Help Desk at (202) 828-0413. This Web site also includes information on letters of recommendation, ECFMG Reports, USMLE and Personal Goals and Statements. After reviewing and understanding the process of submitting an ERAS Application, one can access the application and guidelines at LCME accredited schools, are required to obtain certification of their training through ECFMG and must supply the following additional documents: a copy of your medical school diploma and final transcripts with a certified English translation if the documents are in a language other than English.
Documentation of completion of previous training:
-
Copy of current ECFMG certificate.
-
Copy of Parts I, II and III of USMLE, FMGENS or Flex scores and Fifth Pathway Certificate (if applicable).
Individuals who are not citizens of the US must obtain a J1, H1 or F visa, which is sponsored by the Health System prior to the commencement of the training, or provide a copy of a valid and current work authorization.
All documents must be dated no more than six months prior to submission of the application to the System Program.
