Infectious Diseases

Infectious diseases result from exposure to bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa and are responsible for killing more people worldwide than any other single cause. Depending on the specific type, an infectious disease can spread by touching, eating, drinking, a bite, kissing and sexual contact.
Prevention is key, though sometimes a disease is unavoidable.
