| A voluntary, co-educational 21 bed unit for adolescents (12-17 years old) whose problems require a more intensive treatment than can be provided on an outpatient basis. Treatment on the Adolescent Pavilion is generally short term and includes comprehensive assessment and brief treatment for a variety of psychiatric disorders. Care is coordinated by a team of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, nurses and teachers. Treatment focuses not only on helping the individual with their needs, but also in helping the family effectively work with their child. A variety of behavioral and emotional problems are treated including: Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders and other disruptive behavior disorders, Mood disorders including Major Depression and Bipolar Disorders and Psychotic Disorders. The clinical staff offers special expertise in diagnostic assessment, psychpharmacology and family and behavioral therapy. |
