This multi-physician practice, led by Fred Cushner, MD, Chief of Southside’s Department of Orthopedics, consists of board certified surgeons who handle all types of problems, including knees, shoulders/elbows, hips, traumas and sports medicine.
ISK is part of the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Institute for Orthopedic Science. The IOS was established to provide state-ofthe- art, multidisciplinary orthopedic care to help patients regain mobility and return to active, independent lives. The institute provides comprehensive care in the treatment of the entire spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders from diagnosis to surgery.
