The Administrative Fellowship Program at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System has provided me with an invaluable experience that complemented my graduate studies and helped me to strengthen my knowledge and skills in healthcare administration. The vast array of options with regard to rotations allowed for a year filled with diverse challenges, new perspectives and great opportunity.

With the encouragement and support of my preceptor at each site as well as my mentor over the course of the year, I was able to take on worthwhile projects that allowed me to gain exposure to a variety of areas, including service-line development, finance and quality improvement. Each day offered valuable learning experiences and opportunities for hands-on training and interaction with people at various levels within the organization, from senior leadership at the system level to those involved with direct patient care at each site.

With 15 hospitals and various other healthcare facilities across Long Island, the North Shore-LIJ Health System has given me a unique fellowship experience unlike that of my peers across the country. North Shore-LIJ's dedication to quality, education and the community are beyond compare and its core values are reflected in the enthusiasm and support that leaders throughout the system lend to the fellowship program.
