Director, Care Coordination

As the director of care coordination, Joanne Rocco oversees the daily operations of case management, discharge planning and utilization review for the Department of Care Coordination and Social Work.

Ms. Rocco began her nursing career at North Shore University Hospital in 1974 as a staff nurse in the PACU/SICU. She has held various positions within the perioperative service and in 1997 was promoted to director of care coordination.

Ms. Rocco received her bachelor's of science in nursing from C.W. Post College and her master's degree in health administration from Hofstra University.
