Joseph Manopella

Mr. Manopella is responsible for overall operations of Franklin Hospital. Most recently, he served as the hospital’s deputy executive director. Under his leadership, Franklin has intensified its focus on patient-centered care, establishing a model for spine and orthopedic services, and opening a state-of-the-art unit for orthopedic and other surgical patients.

Mr. Manopella began his career in healthcare at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he held several positions within the hospital’s ambulatory care centers. He joined the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System in 1999 as an administrative resident, working in the internal consulting services department and the division of child and adolescent psychiatry. In 2001, Mr. Manopella was promoted to hospital operations director at LIJ Medical Center, and later assumed the role of director of cardiac services overseeing both clinical and faculty practice operations. In 2005, he was promoted to associate executive director at Franklin Hospital for ancillary and support services including facility construction.

Mr. Manopella received his undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University and an MBA in healthcare administration from Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
