Joshua Strugatz
The fellowship promotes an understanding of contemporary industry issues in a setting that encourages innovation and creativity.
This experience complemented my educational training and fostered continued personal and professional development. Educational endeavors, including seminars at Harvard University's School of Public Health, were coupled with conferences and lectures by industry leaders. Regular discussions with leaders occur in group settings, individualized meetings, breakfasts, dinners and out-of-town retreats. All of these experiences provide valuable opportunity to converse and gain insight in both formal and casual settings.
The fellowship also serves as an extensive introduction to the organization and its culture. Access to senior leadership provides insight into how long-range and more immediate goals are implemented.
Networking opportunities with other early careerists within the organization served as an important component of the fellowship. Regular meetings of the past and present fellows promoted discussion and occasions to share experiences.
