Kevin Dwyer

Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer
North Shore-LIJ Health System Foundation

Mr. Dwyer is responsible for managing all of the day-to-day activities and initiatives of the foundation. He is heavily involved in major gift and capital initiatives that support the health system administration’s long-range capital plans.

In addition, Mr. Dwyer provides new insights and vision to the foundation and is instrumental in building a new generation of leadership and philanthropic opportunities from both its external and internal constituencies. Building upon the foundation’s reputation and success over the past decade, he brings a unique business acumen that will help lead it through the next decade in direct alignment and support of North Shore-LIJ’s mission. Mr. Dwyer works closely with Senior Vice President Cecelia Fullam implementing the foundation’s long-range strategic plan.

Mr. Dwyer joined the foundation as corporate director of development in 2005. He previously served 15 years on the board of governors at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn, NY. He spent 25 years in the paper and packaging business with Spiro-Wallach Co., where he ultimately served as president and CEO. After selling Spiro-Wallach Co. in 1999 to Unisource Worldwide Inc., the largest paper and packaging distribution company in North America, Mr. Dwyer served as vice president of sales for the mid-Atlantic market, and created and delivered programs for the company’s national sales management training institute.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Dwyer has been active in numerous charitable organizations including St. Ignatius Retreat House, the Boston College National Development Board and Help for the Poor, and serves as director for the Nassau County Police Department Foundation.

He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College.
